Although Ramadan is just a few days away and I will be going on my annual social media detox, this week has been unexpectedly full on and unusually experimental…I’m talking about food here, I finally got to visit some of the places on my bucket list and first up is Treehouse Lounge, the ultra-cool rooftop spot at the Taj Hotel in Business Bay.
It’s hard to believe that this little gem exists amongst the hustle and bustle of Business Bay with incredible views of Downtown and the Burj Khalifa.
We had some light bites from the Mediterranean inspired menu which consists of snacks such as hummus, sweet potato fries, truffle pizza and vegetable tempura and of course we sampled desserts, the banoffee pie was the winner, I recommend you pour the salted caramel sauce all over (and maybe ask for an additional serving). The other desserts were presented in cute glass jam jars but were tricky to share.
All in all, a good spot to hang out after work for some light dishes and wonderful ambience, we were sitting right next to the DJ booth and didn’t have to shout across to one another, so Treehouse Lounge, you score top marks from me for ensuring the music was on point and on volume control. I’ll be back!
Ps, even my super fussy friend Mary (who is known for ever rarely smiling) scored Treehouse Lounge top marks. If Mary was a happy girl, then you know this is a good spot!
