Although double-cleansing has been a part of my skincare regime since 2000, Hollywood starlets embraced the Erno Laszlo double-cleanse as a core principle of their skincare regime back in the 1920’s.
Back then, Erno Laszlo urged his clients to switch from cold cream to his now infamous two-step oil and bar soap duo for a deeper, more effective cleanse.
As one of the original doctor formulated brands, Erno Laszlo pioneered the art of personalized, problem-solving and has been preaching about the benefits of double cleansing for decades. Cleansing is more than just washing skin, it’s an essential routine in a commitment to flawless skin. I love the quote included in every product which is;
“Beautiful skin requires commitment, not a miracle.”
There are four duos in the two-step process, which, by the way, you can mix and match depending on a specific skin care concern.
In the evening I have been using the deeply cleansing Detoxifying duo (Cleansing Oil and Sea Mud Deep Cleansing Bar) which contain charcoal powder to neutralize acidity and draws out impurities and oils. Living in this climate has made my skin very oily because skin creates more oil on its surface in attempt to protect itself from the sun.
In the morning, I use the Hydra-Therapy Cleansing Oil and the Phelityl Cleansing Bar
As a fan of the core line of Firmarine collection, there is also a Firmarine Cleansing Oil and Firmarine Face Bar. Both contain Spirulina Maxima Algae to help boost skin renewal.
For sensitive skin, there is a Sensitive Cleansing Oil and Cleansing Bar, infused with anti-inflammatory botanicals such as one of my fave ingredients; Moringa Oil and Andiroba Oil. The cleansing bar is particularly mild and contains Chammomile and Green Tea extracts.
The cleansing collections are available in travel sizes priced at £24 for each two-step ritual. The full size Cleansing Oil retails at £50 and the Cleansing Bar retails at £30.
*PR samples but DEFINITELY re-buying the cleansing oils!
